Way to Go, Sarah!

Our friend Sarah has been attending school to become certified as a dog groomer. Last Friday, I attended her graduation luncheon to help her celebrate. Sarah plans to use her new skills grooming for a vet's office and eventually start her own business. Follow your dreams, Sarah, and good luck!

Carson

We discovered a couple of months ago that Eli has a best friend in his Sunday School class at church. His mom and I were finally able to arrange some play dates together last week. Needless to say, the boys were thrilled to see each other outside of church and we will be getting together again very soon.

Carson was even so sweet as to let Eli borrow his Buzz Lightyear until their next visit. It's not going to be easy when he has to return Buzz, given that Eli has not put him down for the last 4 days! (What Eli doesn't know is that he will be getting a Buzz Lightyear for his birthday in a couple weeks. I can't wait to see the smile on his face)!

Day Trip

Last weekend we took a day trip out to see our frind Melisa, who lives in Quitman, TX. It was nice to get out of the city and see the open countryside. As expected, Eli and Thomas clicked instantly and were inseparable the rest of the day. It was a love/hate relationship as they both had a hard time sharing toys....Boys will be boys!

After lunch, Melisa took us to her parents' house which sits right on a lake. Jerry had brought his fishing poles (just in case), so he was all set to go! Eli and Thomas even tried their hand at fishing with little kiddie poles. It was so cute! We were left with an open invitation to come back any time, and I have a feeling we will be returning soon!
