Come on, Jesus!

Over the last year, Eli has developed the childhood fear of MONSTERS in his room and I have told him there are angels that protect him while he sleeps. This fear has recently come to include dark hallways as well, so now I tell him that Jesus is with him wherever he goes. Eli has found comfort in knowing he is not alone and has developed quite an adorable kinship with his new friend.

I have found Eli in his room "playing cars with Jesus," or "showing Jesus my pictures" or explaining that "It's lunch time, Jesus. No more coloring." When Eli walks down the dark hall now, he says, "Come on, Jesus! Come on, angels!" It fills my heart with joy to know that at such a young age, Eli is coming to understand the comfort he has in Jesus. I pray his relationship continues to grow in the years ahead.

Lunar Mini Golf

Eli had his first experience playing miniature golf-----and boy was he glowing! For once, our little perfectionist didn't throw any tantrums. I think he was just excited to be in such a cool atmosphere. We will definately be back to play again, especially since kids only pay $3!

What a Big Boy!

We are pleased to announce that Eli is officially potty trained. Last week he completed the third phase of his potty game and earned his punching bag (like Daddy's). He also graduated to big boy underwear--Spiderman being his favorite. Now we just have to work on staying dry all night..........
