Congratulations Jerry!!!!

We are excited to announce that Jerry has been hired as a police officer for the city of Frisco, TX! He has wanted to work in law enforcement since high school and decided to apply this last January. After passing the first test, Jerry was told that the hiring process could take up to a year----

----Well, just this month he received a call that the department had completed his background check and was interested in moving forward. After an oral board interview and meeting with the chief, Jerry was offered the job! The last hurdle was taking the physical, psychological, and polygraph tests----all of which he passed with no problem! Starting July 1st, Jerry will be attending the police academy for the next 21 weeks. We are excited to see what our future holds! Oh, by the way----Jerry wants to be addressed as "Officer Profeta" from now on :)

A Visit from Grandma

Jerry's mom flew in yesterday to stay with us for a couple weeks. Eli has been enjoying the extra love and attention, and I am enjoying a second pair of hands! (I guess we're both getting spoiled!)

Today we went for a walk around the lake and then checked out "DDD's" at the library. Eli and Grandma had a fun time playing together! Aren't grandma's fun?

Peanut Butter and Jelly AND Sanwich

Some of you might know that Eli's favorite lunch is PB&J. Every day I ask him what he wants and he says, "peanut butter and jelly AND sandwich." The last few times I have asked him what he wants he has requested PB& J and "yogurt and strawberries and blueberries and pudding and cookies and that's it!" Wishfull thinking :)

We've graduated.....

Yes, we officially have a "family car." Jerry surprised me with a new min-van a couple weeks ago. I have to say it is a lot easier to load/unload the kids and is much roomier than our Saturn. Eli is also enjoying the space to play while I am loading groceries or whatever. Thanks, Jerry!
